I figured I should let myself be known, hello I'm Lanaia. I haven't been a "member" of Vanstuck very long, only since Cos and Effect 2012 actually so I don't know anyone really and it would be great to be able to talk to some of you UnU.
A little bit about me I guess??
I'm here to like all the characters/pairings that you hate. I cosplay Feferi, and I hope to attend more conventions and do more in the future. Fef was my first cosplay in about five years and I forgot how much I loved it(oh the last minute sewing and stress how sweet thou are)
My tumblr is naranja-in-pajamas.tumblr.com, I think I linked it in my profile but I don't remember so yeah, if you want to follow/check out other things that interest me besides homestuck there's a cool place to go.
I will ramble if I don't cut this off now and that would be embarrassing because then everyone will see my inane tendency to babble about nothing at all but still somehow be able to have something to say about it even though it's insignificant and most of the time in the form of a terrible and incoherent run-on sentence that just makes everyone dizzy while reading it because it usually just goes around in circles even though I'm really not saying anything worth reading it's like a car crash or something once you pop you just can't stop wait no those are potato chips.

Hello Lanaia! Did you have a nice time at Cos and Effect?

Ah yes I did! It was very fun and it was nice to immerse myself once again in the convention atmosphere that I didn't realize I had been craving for so long. I did miss the way the venue used to look though, last time I was at UBC there was an big open area where most of the hanging out occurred but there was construction happening there. Unfortunate considering that was one of the most aesthetically pleasing areas of the campus! Did you have a nice time?

I agree too - the construction around the hill is for the new SUB that will be replace the old one. It's been going on for about a year now but will hopefully subside in time for Cos and Effect next year. (Also, the new SUB will have a slide ) I think Cos & Effect is a very nicely run convention, and I enjoyed the panels and marketplace and the like. It's the time and place most Vanstucks are able to get together which is really fortunate!

Ooooh exciting! I love slides heeeh and I`m sure will make for many nice photo ops in the future.
I agree, this past summer was my first time as Cos and Effect(previously I had been to AE few times) and I really liked how it was run, it was small which was very nice and well organized. And gosh there were so many homestucksévanstucks it was very intimidating haha! I basically just stood off to the side the entire time because the friends I had gone to the convention with aren`t Homestuck at all so I was on my own, maybe by the next time I'm able to attend a gathering I'll nerve up and talk to some people

I love them too too!! I'm not sure how it will be maintained, or if it will be accessible outside of the fall and winter terms.... Since it's meant for UBC students and all.
Well nice time just try to like...... wiggle yourself in!! I know it can seem very intimidating at times, and a lot of Vanstucks felt the same way as you when they first joined. I know how it can feel having nonHomestuck friends :3 I try to have one nonHomestuck cosplay per convention so I don't feel like I'm forgetting about them :3
